I have been a student of history and painting all my life. Art was my main course at Teacher Training College in Kent, from 1968-1971 and after a long career teaching in Manchester inner city schools,

I returned to study Art and Design at Stockport College upon retirement. I now spend time in my studio at Vernon Mill Stockport, as well as travelling whenever I can around Europe, often on my bicycle. I live in Stockport with my wife Fiona, who is also a retired teacher. We have two children.
